The Southeast Region Melbourne Oromo Community Association Victoria, Australia (SERMOCAVA) has 70 members.
We render different services such as training, literacy and numeracy lessons, conferences, etc.
Our group’s activities this year included meetings, Family Day, Irrechaa (Thanks Giving Day) different showings and the teaching of native languages.
Family Day is celebrated among our community on the last Saturday of December in order to entertain children with their families who have completed their study for the year.
This year our Group really enjoyed the International Cultural Dress parade and the Neighbourhood House conference held at Geelong—both organised by Springvale Neighbourhood House.
We like coming to Springvale Neighbourhood House because the staff responds to any issues and guides us well! Next year we’ll show steady progress.
